Superb

Liked: Nice location in a quiet road and close to the river. Fabulous towpath walks. Very helpful staff and a good breakfast . Nice pub atmosphere and good to see the restaurant was popular.
Disliked: The room was a bit tight on space and I wish I'd asked for a room at the back. Still, we didn't spend too long in the room so it was fine in the end.

Wedding Weekend Stay

Liked: The room and bed was large enough to be comfortable. The bathroom was equally as large with an impressive bath and great shower. The room we were in was above the main bar / restaurant area so very accessible from those areas. The bar and restaurant are well presented and the morning breakfast was lovely. The location on the river if very lovely and although the weather didn't quite allow for us to sit out there for long it would be beautiful in the summer.
Disliked: The room temperature was very cold when we returned at night, it's an old building so maybe we should have forseen this and ramped up the temperature before we left for the evening. The walls in the bathroom were starting to flake from the moisture of the shower and bath. The location of our room is great but if you're planning a late lie in, be warned that you can hear people entering the bar / restaurant area so it isn't the quietest room.
