Liked: The location was amazing!! Easy to walk to many fun things to do and close to transportation options.Staff was very nice and super helpful. The breakfast was really good- lots of options.
Disliked: Our room was located on the 1st floor. We heard a lot of street noise. It was easy to see into our room and housekeeping opened up our blinds when cleaning the room. Next time we will ask for a room on the inside of the building or a higher floor.

Families with kids shall stay...

Disliked: Furniture was very old and outdated. The room definitely need a remodel. The ceiling was old, with that popcorn stuff on it. Bathroom was very small. I had asked that I get a room close to the elevator, because I have heart and lung issues. They gave me a room down a long hall, in fact it was the very last room. My the time I got to the room I was having breathing issues

A great location to explore...

Liked: The location was fantastic. Great to have breakfast included, it set us up for the day.
Disliked: A long walk to our room, unless we came outside from reception, crossed the road and went back in to the side where our room was located. However, this involved stairs, so no good when we arrived with wheeled cases to get to our room.

Liked: Location was perfect for a tourist. The hop on/off bus starts literally around the corner and was great for getting my bearings around the city, as a first time visitor. 2 day pass was good value. I then switched to using the Muni public transport and felt safe walking around the area near the hotel. The hotel itself is bigger and busier than I thought - in a good way - and had good facilities. It was quiet other than the noisy aircon. Staff were cheerful and helpful. Breakfast was great and the grab and go was convenient (expensive though but that's not unexpected).
Disliked: Aircon in the room is noisy, not controllable and switches itself on in the morning. Adjusting to timezones and recovering from an 11hr flight, this was not appreciated. There isn't a great deal of outdoor space which would be disappointing in great weather. But if you're out a lot, it's not a problem.You also can't take a drink in a glass up to your room., only the cans and bottles from the grab and go. That's ridiculous. I travel a lot and it's the first time in my life I have heard that!! The telephone customer services were a bit hopeless. I got stuck between Riu and Booking each saying the other was the only way to amend my booking. I wanted an additional night so was trying to give them more money not less!Oh and there is no light switch at the entrance door to the room. That's pretty annoying as you have to prop the door open and go around a corner to find the bedside light. Just careless design.
