Rhodes Hotel

Liked: The staff were lovely and pleasant. Close to all amenities and area was great.
Disliked: The room was tiny and the bathroom was really tiny. I felt like we were in a shoe box. Room was not serviced.

Liked: There was A/C and the location was good.
Disliked: Everything else. Very small room, very run-down building, the bathroom was basically a small closet (<2 sqm). waferthin door to the room.

A good base for seeing...

Liked: Location was excellent, 5 min from Paddington station , Hyde Park and lots of places eat near by. The staff were very friendly. We were informed that we had been assigned a room with AC which during a hot spell was very welcoming. Good powerful shower. Room was clean and had a fridge. Free to leave your bags after check out.
Disliked: The room and hotel was very dated and the rooms were small ( to be expected). We were on the top floor and managed well, but you would definitely need to be fit enough to make it up to the room.

Liked: I didn't end up staying in the room but the guy on reception was very helpful and it certainly met my expectations for a short sleep/was comfortable/had air condition and in a central area

Reliable Paddington option

Liked: Very solid and reliable hotel next to Paddington. One of my go to places. Always clean and efficient, very well situated and quiet. Many others around but Rhodes stands out as somewhere you can trust

For a place to sleep...

Liked: The staff were great and the location is ideal to explore London. Paddington Sta and Kensington Gardens just a short walk away.
Disliked: It’s London so don’t expect space! Great to sleep but I wouldn’t want to hang out in the room in the day. My room was on the top floor so be prepared to carry your suitcase up the stairs. Though the staff did offer to carry my mine up for me.
