I guess its ok if...
Liked: The beds were comfortable
Disliked: I got to the hostel a few hours before check-in, and there is no place to leave the bags or luggage. A member of the staff told me to leave it there at the lobby, where others had left their bags. When I asked the same member of the staff what he recommended to do in Glasgow for the day he said “you should look at google maps”. That was his advice. I wished someone else attended the hostel, like the guy that was there in the afternoon who was really nice and helpful. The fire alarm in the bathroom went off when someone took a shower.

Day Staff Good, Oh So...
Liked: The day staff is wonderful, professional, friendly, and proper good.
Disliked: Oh my goodness, quite a lot of issues. It is directly across from and beside night clubs that you will definitely hear and feel the music no matter where you are in the building, until around 0430.. even on Thursday nights, which surprised me. The drunken party goers screaming, arguments being had, and an operatic singer who decided to warm up at 0400 right outside was not helpful. Undoubtedly a fun bunch, but if sleep is what you wanted, likely won't be had there unless during the day.The privacy bunks aren't great as light easily bleeds through. I was on the top bunk and my bottom bunk compatriot kept his light on all night, which kept my bed lit. Add their hoarse cough and snoring and well, no sleep was had on both nights there. Also, chatted with a fellow top bunker in the room and the ladder to get to the beds is downright dangerous. Effectively, you need to plop your face onto the mattress and squirm your way up, at it's very soft/weak and losing your grip on the mattress itself can and likely will be done.Surprising lack of social interactive activities at the hostel, or that many preferred not to be social. It was a different experience for sure, especially if you're to compare it to the Generator Hostel in Dublin. Very different vibe. Also, the area is a bit dodgy. As a solo male (albeit petite and adorable), I wouldn't (and didn't) feel too comfortable walking around at night. Add that the mattress effectively spoons you from the dip in the centre, no real food options available, terrible floor maps, uncomfortable showers, and strangely smelling toilet/bathrooms.. it's not exactly ideal. Next trip to Glasgow, I may just take the cost hit and book a hotel. Staff was nice.. well, that one guy. Calls everyone "friend" which I find quite welcoming!

Very good
Liked: In general there are friendly receptionists, cosy bed, few bathrooms and toilets on each floor, comfortable temperature inside, a good location!
Disliked: Not comfortable stairs in the room to lift to upper bed. There are no microwave, fridge and kitchen for guests, it is not very convenient to ask receptionists to warm food or something like that (but they have done it
