Good stay but not in...

Liked: The breakfast was really good. The location of the hotel was perfect. Right near Bryant Park, which is always lively. The subway was within a block. Numerous restaurants and shopping. The staff was helpful and very nice. My room was 1112. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen amenities were good.
Disliked: The layout of the room was not good. The one window faced another building. The view was horrific. Nothing but an alley and another building. It made you feel claustrophobic. The bathroom was VERY small. We had to "hug the wall" to close the bathroom door. The small dining table faced the wall so that there was no chance of watching television while you ate. This was not a big deal for me because I'm not much of a television watcher while visiting NYC, just thought it might be good to know. The maintenance staff had to "rig" our leaking showerhead so that we could only use one of the attachments, but the water temperature was good. All in all, I'd consider staying again but never in room 1112.

Great location, poor comfort levels

Liked: We stayed for eight nights. The location is great and the staff was friendly and efficient. The room was recently redecorated and clean. The room cleaning was really good, including new towels, etc.
Disliked: Since the building is very old, it is making all kind of mechanical noises. The refrigerator compressor was so loud that we had to disconnect it and the sleeping couch was so uncomfortable that we could not use it a such. However, the most annoying aspect of the accommodation was in the morning (7AM-10AM) when both the elevator as well as the breakfast room capacity were completely insufficient for the vast amount of guests wanting to use them. So we skipped the mediocre breakfast on multiple occasions and walked the stairs instead of waiting 10-15 minutes in line to catch an elevator.

Nice hotel , good location

Liked: Very good location, Close to times square and subway ,Big room for NYC, kitchen with fridge, microwave, and dishwasher, and kitchen utilities, Nice room view, Duncan Donuts below , good restaurants 50 mile away - ex "Main nudels House" and more, and big supermarketsGood and welcome staff,Good breakfast, Gluten sensitive - can ask for GL bun and muffin,Washing machine at -1 floor
Disliked: The check-in is very close to 16:00 and not before, so be patient, they will happily store your luggage, you can go on a city tour.Sofa is not good for teenager, can fill the Iron springs, so he slept on not open sofa,Cleaning - we so many ants in the room floor and kitchen,The elevator is very crowded, we recommend to go early to breakfast and leave before closing time,

Great Location, stayed for one...

Liked: The location was perfect. Easy walk to time square and downtown. Room was clean and comfortable.
Disliked: Elevators were slow, have to wait for long.
