Residence Inn by Marriott New York Manhattan/Times Square

Fabulous location and good value...

Liked: Location was amazing, and staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and it was a nice touch to have a fruit basket in reception. Great having fridge/freezer and kitchenette. I've stayed in this area before in fancier hotels, but having the facility to make own tea and coffee and keep food cool was a real bonus and I'd certainly look at coming to this property again.
Disliked: There were a few annoyances - the sofa bed wasn't made up even though there were three of us in the room, and there were only two mugs for three of us and no dishwashing liquid to wash them in between uses. The coffee maker with coffee bags in a disposable plastic tray all wrapped in more plastic was very wasteful - just coffee bags and a tea kettle would be better!

Disliked: Room/furniture was cramped, very small cramped bathroom

Hotel in a near-perfect location...

Liked: Location is very heart of Time Square..you can walk to time square within 4 to 5 minutes. It is also close to Bryant Park, and the area around the hotel is lively. Daily room service prepares the room well and Elevators can get you from ground floor to your room within seconds when it’s not rush hour (nighttime, etc.). Easily accessible via the subway which is around 2 minutes walk from the inn, and there is wheelchair access too. Hotel staff and security are very friendly and energetic, even if it was midnight, and were helpful to the best of their ability.
Disliked: Parking is very expensive and is charged per use rather than by hours. The elevators are busy during rush hour, and it can take up to 10 minutes waiting to get from your floor to the ground floor at that time. The hotel itself is not up to the mark, with elevators and room interiors getting old, worn-out, and less maintained especially room floor carpets are seems outdated.

Liked: Loved the property, close to everything
Disliked: There was an alarm that went off in the hotel with no explanation only they were looking into it. It was scary with no instructions for what we should do. The breakfast staff should monitor when food items are low, had to wait for some items. The floor in the breakfast area was sticky all 4 days we stayed.
