Very good

Paid too much for this...

Liked: Location
Disliked: Room was shabby, stained carpet, chipped furniture, water cold, NO heat, needed blankets, broken elevator. This facility has changed for the worst in the past 2 years. GREAT location and staff. REALLY LACKING ON MAINTENANCE!

The building is very old...

Liked: The location is the best thing about this hotel.
Disliked: The building is old, you can hear the pipes early in the morning making noise while people is taking showers. There are not enough elevators for the amount of people that move around the facilities. And there is no restaurant!

Poor

Disliked: The room provided was a haldicapped room when that was not required. This led to the washroom being completely wet when we showered making the room difficult to live in.

Liked: The staff were very professional, polite and helpful. Good choice at breakfast buffet and the bar was nice. Having the kitchette was very handy to store some drinks and snacks. Location was great, We had a lovely view of the empire state building from our room on a high floor.
Disliked: The decor is tired. A repaint and minor repairs would make a huge difference to the overall experience. We still enjoyed our stay but feel little has been done to refresh the rooms since our last stay 8 years ago. Replacing the toilet seat, fixing the door of the press under the sink in the bathroom and having a mattress protector on the sofa bed in the room we stayed in would be a start.

Excellent location and friendly staff

Liked: Staff were excellent especially Brian at front desk. Location fantastic - loved staying for 15 nights - an oasis after walking all day! Fresh popcorn each afternoon as we came ‘home’ - definitely stay here again!
Disliked: Breakfast could be a bit nicer

Liked: Excellent location, good space in the room, excellent service for NY (why are people so edgy in this city?)
Disliked: The breakfast was too full of suger. Try to serve more vegetables other than spinach (that was nice with the extra fat cheese). Good coffee in the breakfast.
