Valet was very expensive disorganized...

Liked: I have stayed at this residence inn twice before because of its downtown location. My brother and myself arrived by motorcycles, it was night and raining very hard. The valets were rude, incompassionate and disorganized especially. The following day, a valet named Jake was exceptionally good and understanding and mostly made up for the incompetence of the previous nights valet staff. Jake rode a motorcycle and made the service very easy. The additional $25 per day location fee was newly imposed and not known ahead of time. The breakfast buffet was very good. I travel every year to Austin but I will not stay there again due to the additional fees, total fees were $519 for the 5 day stay.

Liked: Great location. Nice employees
Disliked: Destination fee, not disclosed in reservation. Parking fee was too much. Strong cleaning product scent through property and rooms. And very thin bedding.

Liked: Great location. Good breakfast selection.
Disliked: Expensive valet parking - $65/night - but understandable given the lack of parking. Just beware.

LOVED IT

Liked: The view of our room was absolutely beautiful, the room was very clean and large. Very "Homey" feeling and didn't want to leave. had excellent customer service as well.
Disliked: everything was absolutely terrific. Would not change anything
