This budget-friendly spot puts you in the heart of Glasgow, just a short walk from major music venues, bars, and the iconic Central Station. Expect a warm welcome, clean rooms, and an unbeatable location for nightlife and live gigs.

Why Concert-goers love it

The location is unbeatable — you're just minutes from some of Glasgow’s top concert venues and right next to Central Station, making late-night travel a breeze. The 24-hour front desk is handy for late arrivals and post-show check-ins, and with express check-in and check-out, you can keep things flexible. Despite being in the heart of the city, many guests report a surprisingly quiet night’s sleep, especially in the upper-level rooms.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a central crash pad after a show
  • Solo travelers ticking off their dream gig
  • Couples enjoying a romantic concert weekend
  • Fans who want a peaceful spot to rest up post-concert

Food and Drink Options

You won’t find a restaurant on-site, but you’re surrounded by walkable eateries and late-night takeaway spots. Many guests grab a bite at nearby cafés or pubs before or after shows. Tea and coffee are available in-room for a quick wake-up after a late night, and the hotel’s central location means plenty of breakfast options are just steps away.

Nightlife Options

Being right downtown, you’re within strolling distance of Glasgow’s top bars, clubs, and live music venues. Whether you’re heading to a big-name concert or checking out a local band, the nightlife scene is right outside your door. For a more low-key experience, nearby pubs offer craft drinks and relaxed vibes.

What People Say

Guests love the value for money, the excellent location, and the friendly staff. Many reviews highlight how easy it is to get around the city from the hotel and praise the characterful rooms with traditional touches. Repeat visitors say it’s their go-to spot when attending gigs in Glasgow.

Areas for Improvement

Some rooms are on the smaller side, and the building’s historic charm means there’s no lift — so pack light if you’re on an upper floor. A few guests mention the décor is a bit dated in places, but most agree the location and value make up for it.

Corona virus

Disliked: Earlier on in the year I booked my mum a hotel here, for Mothers Day. I am a 17 year old girl who works on a Saturday in a cafe (as I am in full time education) so I dont get paid an awful lot. Out of my own money I paid for this hotel as I knew it would mean a lot for my mum to go to the City of Glasgow for an over night stay as we live in a remote area. I had paid for this night a month before the corona virus pandemic got bad. When we were watching the news the scientists said that people with immune suppressed diseases were at highest risk. Due to her condition Rheumatoid arthritis my mum takes medication that suppresses her immune system so if she caught this virus she wouldnt stand a chance. We decided the best option was not to go to Glasgow as my mums health was more important. To travel to Glasgow we would have had to go on a ferry, bus and a train (public transport where my mum would be at her biggest risk) when I told my mum I bought her a stay in a hotel she said I could get my money back. Yes, I did buy a non refundable hotel but this was in no way my fault. It wasnt like we didnt want to go to the hotel. I couldnt help that my mum had a high risk of catching this virus. This hotel denied my money back which in my opinion was wrong. They would prefer my mother to get this virus rather than be healthy. What is 80 to them? 80 to me was over a months wages at my local cafe.
