Alienating (beautiful?, impressive, Gotham City?...

Liked: What a bizarre hotel. Right out of a sience finction movie. Huge, big, dark, impressive. We had a corner room overlooking the bridges and the river. The windows could be opened. Great room, great shower and bath. A huge TV with excellent reception and I thought also Netflix and youtube, but we did not try the last two. There are reasonable restaurants nearby, but it is helpful if you make reservations, otherwise they are full.
Disliked: The room is difficult to darken. Because of the high windows, the blackout curtains do not fit nicely. So if you are in a corner room, the light, from the spotlights aimed at the facade at night, falls into the room.
