Not what I expected...

Liked: N/A
Disliked: So this was my first time in Phoenix and the Renaissance was my stop after landing at the airport. I have stayed at Renaissance on the east coast and it was lovely. However, my experience with the Phoenix location was a huge disappointment. The rooms appeared more like a holiday inn... To make matters worst the room was not clean. I did not notice it at first cause the room was dark when I dropped my luggage off. However, once I came back and turned on the lights I noticed the floor had not been mopped. There was a huge stain on the tile floor in the room entrance and it spread to the bathroom. It looked as if someone spilled something liquid and it just dried on the floor. I also found condiments small containers of ketchup) from another guest still in the room. Also, the hotel seems to be extremely understaffed. The pool area was kind of creepy. The area was also not pleasing because most of the restaurants are closed or out of business plus the construction. Overall, I do not recommend this hotel it's not worth the money.

Good

Liked: Perfect location for going out. The hotel bar drinks were amazing, Andrew the bartender was on point.
Disliked: Didn't have hot water for evening shower, told front desk and they were very nice about, only had one boiler working. They credited my valet service for the one night for the inconvenience. I don't like the glass sliding door for the bathroom, not much privacy.

Bad

Liked: Close to airport
Disliked: No hot water, you had to take a cold shower. Toilet didn?t flush, wallpaper peeling off the bathroom wall, big hole in tile floor, and the shade was laying in the floor, wasn?t even useful. Overall the stay was terrible and I would not recommend it. I expected a lot more out of a Renaissance!

Very good

Liked: The ambience was very beautiful and welcoming.. bed was comfortable and the temperature in my room was perfect. Perfect location for great food wide variety to choose from.
Disliked: The first CSR I get in contact with had little or no patience. But I must commend the security officers they seems to be very knowledgeable about the hotel and very friendly.
