Renaissance by Marriott Newark Airport Hotel

Need to reopen the restaurant!

Liked: We like the Renaissance, but they closed the bar and restaurant.
Disliked: We arrived around 8:30 pm looking forward to a beer and burger at what used to be a good watering hole in the hotel. It was closed, and we were very disappointed to have to walk along the highway to the Hilton to get something to eat.

Good bed. No food

Liked: They used to have a restaurant that was open late. It’s now permanently closed and only food options are to order delivery takeout. Had to switch rooms twice. First room had no heat and cold air. Second room had overflowing toilet. Breakfast was crappy grab’n’go.

Liked: They charged me a 50USD deposit and haven't returned it and I have messaged numerous times.

Liked: Nice staff, clean rooms, easy check and out process, hot shower water, great location to Newark airport and nice food spots.
Disliked: It shouldn’t cost for WiFi that’s ridiculous and guest that spend their money there should have free parking or parking less than 15 dollars. I was disappointed in those things. Staying 1 night for almost 300 dollars you’d think those things would come with

Good

Liked: It was clean but worn. Bed was comfortable. The first room I had the heat didn’t work and it was quite cold. They gave me another room once I realized the heater wasn’t working. I arrived at 1:30am after very long travel so this was not so great to have to change rooms when already so tired.
Disliked: I arrived after midnight and waited almost an hour for the shuttle, which had been billed as coming every half hour without the need to call. I had even double checked by email before arrival if I needed to call for the shuttle. Eventually, I did call and they sent somebody to pick me up and the shuttle driver told me that late at night I needed to call.
