Renaissance by Marriott New York Times Square Hotel

Liked: Great location; friendly and very helpful staff.
Disliked: Well, just a little one - .the black out curtain on the Broadway side needs to be wider - the lights on the Stock Exchange blared!

Liked: Great location. Very clean and comfortable. Large rooms. Excellent staff.
Disliked: There were renovations being carried out which we were not aware of. However while we were not disturbed in any way, the hotel didn’t have dining facilities. I understand that the renovations will be finished shortly and we are looking forward to returning to the refurbished hotel.

I would not stay at...

Liked: The rooms were well maintained and clean. Our request was honored for the rooms all on one floor. Staff at the desk was very nice and the concierge was very nice.
Disliked: Our rooms were not ready when we arrived; we left our luggage and came back 2 hours later... only 2 of 4 rooms were ready. We went to dinner....and ran back to the hotel to freshen up before a show....and the other 2 were finally ready (after 6pm). We had 10 minutes to prepare to go see a show - which was not acceptable in my opinion for what we paid. It did not start the trip off on a good note.

Liked: Location is great and although you are right at Times Square it was not noisy in the room (16th floor), room was spacious, staff war very nice at check in and out
Disliked: bathroom was run down, showerhead sprinkles in every direction so the room is flooded after a shower and there was a big mold stain at the ceiling right over the shower head, so the bathroom really could use a restorationthe mattress was quite hard (but that is just our opinion)

Liked: The location was ideal—within walking distance of all the major landmarks. However, being right in Times Square meant it was noisy around the clock.
