Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel & Convention Center

It was a wonderful place to stay. I will not be staying anywhere but at the Renaissance. The most outstanding thing - the delicious crabcakes!! We are from Maryland and we know our crabcakes. These were the best. Thank you so much.

Liked: Excellent Stay Near Truist Park!Very close to Truist Park — perfect location if you’re attending a game or event. The hotel was clean, and the staff was very friendly and professional. Check-in and check-out were both quick and smooth. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable, making for a great night’s sleep.The room included a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, which was super convenient. As a Bonvoy member, I also appreciated the complimentary bottled water, free parking, and free WiFi. Overall, a very comfortable and hassle-free stay. Would definitely return!
Disliked: A couple of minor issues: the toilet was a bit difficult to flush, requiring extra force to push down, and the bathroom only offered bar soap instead of liquid hand soap, which felt a bit outdated.

Our weekend was very enjoyable,...

Liked: The location was close to Truist Park and to the mall. The staff was extremely kind, and the facility was very clean. I appreciated the “Elite” check-in line as the other line was crazy long.
Disliked: The bed was extremely firm which has caused me some back issues. I had requested the two rooms I reserved to be close together, but there were six floors between them. It was okay, but it could have been much more convenient for everyone to have been closer. When we arrived, it would have been nice to be able to unload luggage at the front of the hotel, but we weren’t allowed to do so due to that area being used for valet parking only. We had to get a ticket and go find a place to park (which was quite far away due to the many guests at the hotel), then haul our belongings back up to the hotel. Since we had to park in the furthest row away, it was difficult!

$2000 for incedentals

Liked: Location was great. And facilities were very good for price paid.
Disliked: We were charged almost $2000 for incidentals the 1st night we were here because we used more than our nominal $50/day fee (valet parking is $45/day). This was double what we paid for a 2 night stay. When asked about this, at the front desk, we were told the remainder we didn't use would be reimbursed (well, no shit). The desk clerk was rude and said we were only charged for the 2 night stay until we showed them on or online bank statement. Then they explained about the incidental charges but tried to justify the amount. Later, a manager we talked to was appalled at the amout and sympathized with our ordeal but assured us it would be reimbursed. The reimbursement is great, but double the amount of a 2 night stay is extremely excessive. If this is how this company is run, I will not be staying here again. For that money, I could have stayed closer to our destination or at a nicer hotel.

You can’t beat this hotel...

Liked: Ideal location for a Braves game. The walk is less than 10 minutes and actually fun as you use the bridge with other fans directly into the Battery. The hotel has a great bar with fun drinks and excellent service the wings were delicious!
