Disliked: The whole place had an appearance of neglect and decay.Waited 20mins at reception despite the smell and lack of service.It was so awful we decided to cut our losses as the booking was non-refundable and we drove into town to stay at the Ibis. We were informed that the Regency is one of the two most complained about places to stay in Leicester.It's a doss house and shouldn't cost more than £20 a room not £80!This place shouldn't be listed with Booking.com without masses of warnings.I even phoned before we went to ask if they had refitted and improved as the reviews were so bad. Their assurances were unfounded.I wish we had taken some photos but the whole place felt unsafe so we left as soon as we could.

Liked: The hotel is old, the room colour is horrible, dark, it's not clean, the toilet flush doesn't work

Very stuffy and noisy. Expensive...

Disliked: Room was very small, some wallpaper was hanging off, Shower was terrible,bed made you role into the middle, and nowhere to sit where there weren't lots of owners family sitting there. and the TV didn't work

Liked: Lovely staff, really comfortable bed, lovely clean room and so quiet. Definitely would stay here again.
Disliked: Nothing, our trip was brilliant all round.
