Beautiful room- definitely worth paying...

Liked: Upgraded to room 7. Super comfy four poster bed , very spacious and lovely view.Food in bar and service was excellent. Ladies at reception were first class.
Disliked: No face towels in room. Carpets stained and threadbare in places. Dead flies and bluebottles in reception window sills. Night staff at reception after we came back from Kynren not welcomingRoom wasn't ready for 3pm check in.Breakfast buffet was basic- reminded us of a staff canteen/ school dinners.. Black pudding on menu but none available for either of our two night stay

Disappointing as we expected four...

Liked: My husband enjoyed his buffet breakfast. I, unfortunately had no breakfast as the vegan breakfast I requested was unavailable. I was told I could have tomato, hash brown and beans from the buffet. I lost my appetite and just had a coffee. It didn't feel like a four star breakfast restaurant. Our spa bath needed refurbishment, some of the jets had tops off and there was mould on the ceiling. The extra charge for a robe was extreme and there were no slippers in our room. North fresh coffee in the room either, again, not four star standard.
Disliked: No vegan breakfast even though it was requested. Mould in the bathroom and broken fittings in the spa bath. No fresh coffee in the room. A charge of £7.50 for a robe. No slippers in the room. The buffet style breakfast felt like a much cheaper hotel style. The furniture in the bar was broken and tired. The outside area right by the front of the hotel entrance was full of cigarette ends under the tables and in unemptied ashtrays. Not a four star standard at all.

Great family stay

Liked: Lots of stuff to play with outside and a nice swimming pool.
Disliked: All good thanks.

Liked: It was a beautiful building and we loved the games in the grounds. The children loved the table tennis table
Disliked: The pool use times for children swimming were too short and we were told the wrong use times twice, leading to some very disappointed children. The water pressure in the bathroom was also quite poor and the sink kept blocking
