Liked: Loved the grounds can tell that it is well looked after
Disliked: Paid extra for jacuzzi bath and cudnt use as the smell from the drains was really bad when turned on.

Liked: The grounds and atmosphere are breathtaking. So many things for the kids to do on the lawn and the pool in the morning was a nice was to start the day before breakfast.
Disliked: Nice sized room, friendly staff, beautiful hotel and grounds. The star of the show however has to be the breakfast! Lots of choice and well presented add that the the fact it’s exceptional value for money and you’ve got yourself a real gem of the north!

Nice frontage hotel tired in...

Liked: Great frontage lovely grounds and out door space
Disliked: The restaurant. We booked for 8.45 the service wasn’t good. So slow there weren’t many people dinning and lots of staff present but we waited a long time between courses and 30mins for the dessert. We had to order drinks twice I had a cream based cocktail, the glass and stem were covered in cream you could pick it up without cleaning it down first. The waiter gave it to the wrong person but said I’m just going to leave it there. My dinner menu said half chicken! Was a slice of chicken potato squares and rocket no sauce it was so dry I left it. The bill was £220 for 4 people which would of been if we had enjoyed the evening

Lovely setting and hotel with...

Liked: Lovely old building and mature grounds with enough parking and ev charging. Lovely shaded and sunny seating area outside. Nice and clean rooms and breakfast was great.
Disliked: Some corridors are looking a little tired, one of our windows wouldn’t shut correctly and the shower was just ok.

Superb

Liked: The staff were lovely especially the ones at the reception and the bar. This beautiful hotel is located in such a lovely place. It's very clean and peaceful. Will definitely be visiting again.
Disliked: The staff in the dining area could be a little bit more welcoming. Also considering how hot the weather is the hotel could do with having a little fridge in the room. Otherwise I couldn't fault it.
