Red Lion Inn & Suites Olympia Governor Hotel

Liked: Outstanding staff.

Disgusting room. Yellow stains on the sheets. The non smoking room reeked of nicotine the moment I arrived. No way to open a window. The staff was not willing to accommodate. Bed was as hard as a rock. I checked out at 2:30am and drove home! I was not offered another room - she refused to give me a receipt and I asked for the manager to call me and I never received a call. I will never recommend this hotel and I feel like the $105 I spent on the room was a rip off. Spend the extra $10 or $20 to get a hotel that gives 2 cents for their guests.

Liked: Vintage hotel has a pinch of charm if it was cleaned properly.
Disliked: Non Smoking hotel that smells like nicotine; stains on sheets; uncomfortable bed. Poor service.

Disliked: Outdated furniture, tub peeling, sliding door is close to sidewalk someone could crawl through the window

Liked: The bed was comfortable, tv was fine, view was nice.
Disliked: Room was awful, bathroom fixtures broken, tub peeling, bed skirt stained. Office chair was so filthy I wouldn't sit in it. The bed was comfortable and the tv was fine, good view and location. There was a hole in the bed sheet. The air filter looked like it was covered in grey fur it was so filthy. Maybe this place was once a fine hotel, 20 years ago. I reluctantly stayed one night and then cancelled the remaining stay.

Liked: Desk staff Manny, made sure I had a great stay. His recommendation for a place to eat supper was spot on, great!
Disliked: Breakfast was instant oatmeal, lots of breads, yogurt, cereals, and fruit. Not much that sticks with you.

Disliked: My first room had an ant infestation in the bathroom…at least 100+ ants crawling on/around the toilet. Air conditioner wasn’t working either, but I was informed that the air conditioner was broken for the entire building after requesting to switch rooms (not at check in…like I wouldn’t notice in 85-deg weather?). They had a funny list of charges in case towels, linens, and curtains were damaged…but they were already damaged upon arrival…so what’s the point? TV was stuck on a single channel…luckily I’m smarter than the TV. I unplugged and replugged everything and that seemed to work. Safe box didn’t work. I’m sure I’ll receive a “bot” answer to my review, something along the lines of, “we hope to see you again after remodeling.”
