Red Carpet Inn NewarK - Irvington NJ

Very unhappy customer for this place. My boyfriend and I drove in and the location is a terrible place. The place looked like it was from a horror movie. There was bullet proof glass for the front check in and we had to slide our form of payment and ID's under the glass like we were at a bank. The gentleman at the front couldn't even be understood and the men in the back wore du-rags on their heads. We walked into our room and the place smelled horrible. The jacuzzi was dirty - it had white stuff coming out of the jets. The bathroom floor was disgusting - it was sticky and my shoes stuck to it. The toilet paper wasn't even fresh - it was an already used roll. The sheets didn't even fit the bed and the television wasn't even plugged into anything. The place looked like a place for scum to bring a hooker for the night. Needless to say, my boyfriend and I did not stay the night there. I ended up losing out on $115.00 but we stayed at the Marriott instead, like we should've from the beginning. I guess you get what you pay for. We will never suggest this place to any of our family or friends. This place was a dump and very gross!

Liked: The room is large and very clean. Took a moment to find the air conditioner controls on the wall but they work fine. Shampoo and shower gel are on the wall also and not the small tiny bottles. Elevator was bright clean and working well
Disliked: Watch for computer billing glitches
