Beautiful Property, Gorgeous setting, lovely...

Liked: Absolutely beautifully restored Manor. Every reception room was an experience. The dinners and breakfasts were exceptional. Amazing Chefs. Rooms are very cozy, even though we had one of the smallest rooms it was really lovely with a fantastic view, I can’t imagine there would be a “bad” room in this hotel. The staff are polite professional and helpful, and some of them are very friendly and cheerful. I love that the place is so dog friendly, even the outside guests who come regularly just for dinner, expect there to be dogs around at dinner. Don’t come to this hotel if you don’t like dogs because the dogs are definitely special guests here. Our dog loved it.
Disliked: There’s no fridge in the room, so nowhere to keep things you might buy out in town, like ham, cheese, fruit, chocolate, creme… We planned on walking/hiking and wanted to make our own sandwiches and bits to take with us, but ended up just buying outside instead, which gets pricey and inconvenient in the Lakes. There’s also not an iron or hairdryer provided in every room. They will give you one if you ask, but it’s something (in my opinion) that should just be provided as standard in a hotel of this calibre. There are kettle and tea/coffee/biscuits refreshed everyday which is lovely. I would still recommend the hotel and would love to stay again.

Absolutely spot on

Liked: A lovely property tastefully decorated and furnished with plenty of comfortable seating options on the lounge and bar areas. The team of staff - including those we didn’t see like the wonderful chef, were superb on every way. Really well catered for if you have your wonderful woofer with you! Thank you Ravenstone Manor.

Exceptional

Liked: I had an amazing time staying here and exploring the area, the staff were all really friendly and chatty which was nice for a solo traveller. The food is amazing and they were really helpful in my request for somewhere to keep my bike safe overnight. I'd recommend staying here for anyone looking for a relaxed break and some amazing scenery right on your doorstep.

Good

Liked: Great location, room view over the lake is also beautiful.
Disliked: The room on the rooftop is so heated that it feels like a sauna. Also the parking places are very limited.
