Weekend stay near Bassenthwaite lake

Liked: Very friendly and helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Great location, lovely hotel and good facilities.
Disliked: I had the single room and the bed is under the eaves so it felt a little claustrophobic. I understand it is the only place it would fit though.

Relaxing place to stay

Liked: Friendly staff, excellent meals, gluten free understood and well catered for. Lovely relaxing place to stay. Clean and comfortable room, bath was a bonus.
Disliked: The bed was too soft, needed a new mattress perhaps and the shower was not at all powerful. Thankfully the bath was ideal after walking the fells.

Disliked: If being picky the small shower head wouldn't completely turn off/broken and wifi for guest was not available.
