Liked: Really surprised with the standard of the hotel on a motorway services. From the moment of pulling in to the hotel carpark you could not tell you were on a service station. It felt more like you were in the middle of countryside, we were even watching the baby hares playing in the grounds. The standard of the whole hotel was exceptional. The staff were really accommodating and welcoming. Our TV remote wasn't working and they sorted it straight away.We had everything we needed in the room and the bathroom. And the breakfast was of a really high standard with multiple options for every taste.
Disliked: As it was an exceptionally warm day for the location and time of year, the room was a little too warm and we had to sleep with the window open. Saying that, we were not disturbed by any noise from the motorway or service area. My husband found the bed a bit too soft but I found it comfortable. Personal preference and you can't please everyone. We had booked b&b for a great price but when we arrived at the hotel we saw the offer including dinner at a fantastic price. We hadn't seen the offer online at the time of booking and we had eaten on the way so were disappointed that we had missed out. But, that could have been our oversight.

Check that you do not...
Liked: The room and convenience near the motorway was good for an overnight stay. Bar staff jolly
Disliked: The restaurant was cold.The worst aspect was that I was charged twice. Booking.com clearly said I had paid as non-cancellable but as this differes place to place I was asked to pay at check-in. This was quite normal for many stays. Only when I got the card statement did |i see that they had charged me twice. Upon calling they tried to give a free future night but I am unlikely to return. The refund was made a few days later.
