The Spotlight on Radisson Edwardian Sussex Hotel

Modern Comfort Steps from Oxford Street

Modern, design-forward hotel in central London, just moments from Oxford Street and Marble Arch Tube Station. The Radisson Edwardian Sussex Hotel blends upscale style with boutique charm, featuring sleek interiors, designer furnishings, and artwork that adds flair to every corner. With Hyde Park nearby and easy Tube access, it's a top pick for those hitting the city for music and more.

Why Concert-goers love it

Staying here means you're just minutes from London's top music venues like the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire and the Roundhouse. Marble Arch Station is a 2-minute walk, offering late-night connections across the city after your show. The hotel’s soundproofed rooms and plush bedding make it easy to wind down, even after a high-energy night. Late check-in (from 15:00) is perfect for pre-concert prep, and the 11:00 check-out gives you time to sleep in post-show.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a stylish base near nightlife and shopping
  • Solo travelers ticking a dream gig off their list
  • Couples planning a romantic weekend with music and luxury
  • Fans wanting a peaceful retreat after a loud night
  • Budget-conscious music lovers seeking 4-star comfort close to the action

Food and Drink Options

The on-site Steak & Lobster restaurant serves up indulgent late-night bites like charcoal-grilled steak and fresh lobster. Perfect for a post-show feast. There's also 24/7 room service if you’d rather dine in bed. While breakfast isn’t served all day, it’s available early enough to refuel after a late night, and the area around Oxford Street is packed with cafés and eateries within walking distance.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel itself is more chill than club, you’re within walking or Tube distance of Soho’s buzzing bar scene and intimate live music spots. The bar at Steak & Lobster offers a relaxed vibe and local craft drinks—a great place to ease into or wind down from your night out.

What People Say

Guests love the central location, calling it “ideal for shopping, shows, and exploring.” Many highlight the stylish interiors and boutique feel. The rooms get high marks for their comfort and cleanliness, and the staff are frequently praised for being “friendly, helpful, and efficient.”

Areas for Improvement

Rooms can be on the smaller side, especially if you’re traveling with lots of gear or merch. Some guests noted that the lobby can get busy during peak times. But hey, it’s London—you’re not here to sit in the lobby.

The Bottom Line

For concert-goers who want style, convenience, and a quiet night’s sleep just steps from London’s top venues, Radisson Edwardian Sussex Hotel hits all the right notes.

Awful. Do not stay here.

Liked: Location is good
Disliked: We stayed for two nights on Saturday and Sunday last. There were several problems with our experience. It seems that Your staff have no service lift - which means often waiting for the lift, then sharing it with dirty towels and the cleaning trolley. On Saturday the aircon unit in our very small room leaked water on the bed. Your engineer came to fix it - requiring emptying out the water. (Room 417) . The room is not as pictured on the website. We had breakfast with you on Sunday morning. Your Greek yoghurt was curdled, the scrambled egg watery, and the hash browns soggy. I ordered avocado with poached eggs. I was asked how I’d like those eggs and I chose medium. The eggs were over cooked and the avocado was watery. On Sunday evening after 10 pm the ac unit started to leak again - onto the bed. Your staff offered a room change to a twin bedded room. We were told there was no engineer available at this hour - so the choice was to Try to sleep in a wet bed with a leaking ac unit or take the alternative room. We packed up and went to reception. The new room (401) had a portable ac unit which was vented to the open window. We were told about this unit at the last minute - we would not have agreed to take this room if we’d been told - we would have left your hotel if we’d understood what a terrible night we were about to have. The options were: a very noisy aircon unit or a very hot and stuffy room with noise through the open window from Oxford street. Neither of us got much sleep. Overall this was a very unpleasant experience. We’d like a refund for at least one nights stay. We’d like an apology. We’d like to know how you’d change these issues for your future guests. We’d appreciate your urgent response, We emailed the hotel directly on the 14th- but they have ignored us.

Mixed experience. Staff excellent. I...

Liked: The staff particularly the woman on reception gave us outstanding service and did her upmost to change our room for a much improved room for second day. We were given complimentary breakfast because of the first twin we slept in on 4th floor.Second twin room worth the money for central London. Larger, Aircon that worked. Comfortable bed with more pillows. Large bathroom.
Disliked: The first room on first night was terrible, extremely hot with a very old aircon that worked sometimes. Small compared to second room.Only one pillow We hardly slept first night
