The Spotlight on Radisson Blu Edwardian Hampshire

Luxury and Location at the Center of the Action

Modern, stylish, and right in the heart of London's buzzing West End, the Radisson Blu Edwardian Hampshire offers concert-goers a sleek, high-end base with unbeatable city views. Located directly on Leicester Square, this 5-star hotel is walking distance from major music venues, theatres, and iconic landmarks. Think plush marble bathrooms, Egyptian cotton sheets, and Smart TVs with hundreds of channels—all with free WiFi throughout.

Whether you're catching a show at the Royal Opera House or an arena concert nearby, you're right where you need to be.

Why Concert-goers love it

Staying here means you’re just a short stroll (or tube ride) away from London’s biggest concert halls, including the Royal Albert Hall and O2 Arena access via the Underground. The hotel’s 24-hour fitness room and late-night lounge make it easy to unwind after a show. Noise isn’t a problem thanks to the well-insulated rooms, and with check-in from 15:00 and check-out at 11:00, there’s time to relax before and after the music.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends looking to be in the center of the nightlife action
- Solo travelers treating themselves to a concert and a luxury stay
- Couples making a romantic weekend out of a gig
- Fans who prefer a quiet, upscale retreat after the show
- Music lovers with a bit more budget who want high-end comfort

Food and Drink Options

The on-site Leicester Square Kitchen blends Mexican and Peruvian small plates with hand-crafted cocktails—perfect for a pre-show bite or post-gig wind-down. The Hampshire Lounge Bar serves light snacks and afternoon tea, with an al fresco terrace ideal for people-watching. While there’s no 24/7 room service, options are available late enough to satisfy most cravings, and there are plenty of eateries within walking distance. Breakfast is available if you’re up late the night before.

Nightlife Options

With Leicester Square just outside the door, you’re surrounded by premier bars, chic lounges, and buzzing clubs. For a more relaxed evening, the hotel bar offers a quieter atmosphere and a solid selection of wines and cocktails, perfect for a nightcap.

What People Say

Guests consistently rave about the location—steps from theatres and music venues—as well as the luxurious rooms and friendly, helpful staff. The city views from upper floors are a highlight, and many note that despite the central location, the rooms remain peacefully quiet. The bathrooms and linens get frequent praise for their quality and comfort.

Areas for Improvement

While most guests love the vibe, some mention that the decor is a bit corporate rather than boutique. Others noted that the breakfast isn’t included in all bookings, so double-check your rate. And while the hotel is surrounded by nightlife, it may not suit those seeking a more budget-friendly or quirky stay.

The Bottom Line

If you're heading to a concert in London's West End and want to stay in the center of it all with a touch of luxury, Radisson Blu Edwardian Hampshire hits all the right notes.

Hope to stay again!

Liked: The location couldn’t have been more central. The staff were friendly and attentive. We’d dropped out bags off prior to check in and when we checked in later the cases were already in our room. We also received complimentary prosecco and popcorn which was a lovely touch.

Great ill be back

Liked: Location was excellent and the staff fantastic who couldn’t be anymore helpful. Room service also great. I stayed in room 210 the view from the room was of another building but I wasn’t there to look out a window so this didn’t bother me.

Centrally located

Liked: Very well centrally located, helpful and courteous staff. Avoid staying on the lower floors because it becomes very noisy and outsiders can really peep into your room.
Disliked: Too noisy

Brilliant!

Liked: Upon checking in we found we had been given a room upgrade (thank you very much!). Also, my husband had left the charger for his ipad in the room when we checked out. When he telephoned later in the day to see if it had been found he was told it had and that they would post the item back to us. Very happy husband!
Disliked: We asked for a pina colada cocktail at the bar on the Saturday evening and it had to be made three times before an acceptable one arrived. Then, after some sightseeing on the Sunday we went back to the hotel to collect our bags and went to the bar for a final drink before leaving, at about 3.00 pm, but there was no bartender available to make cocktails.
