The Spotlight on Queens Park Hotel

Classic Comfort Close to London’s Music Scene

Queens Park Hotel is a traditional, no-frills hotel tucked away in London’s bustling Bayswater neighborhood. With its Victorian-style exterior and cozy interiors, it's just steps from Queensway and Bayswater Underground stations, putting you within easy reach of central London’s biggest concert venues. You’re also just a stroll from the green retreat of Hyde Park and the buzz of Queensway’s shops and eateries.

The hotel offers comfortable en-suite rooms with tea and coffee facilities, in-room safes, and a reliable base to recharge after a night of live music.

Why Concert-goers love it

Location is everything, and Queens Park Hotel delivers. With two Tube lines (Central and Circle) just a short walk away, getting to and from gigs is stress-free—even late at night. Paddington Station is also nearby, making airport transfers quick and easy. While the hotel is central, it's set on a quieter street, so you can count on a decent night’s sleep after the encore.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a budget-friendly London base
  • Solo travelers chasing that dream concert experience
  • Couples turning a show into a weekend getaway
  • Fans seeking a quieter recovery space after the lights go down
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who prioritize location

Food and Drink Options

The hotel offers a hot buffet breakfast daily—perfect for a slow start after a late night. While there’s no bar or restaurant on-site for dinner, you’re surrounded by Queensway’s international eateries, many of which stay open late. Grab a bite post-show without the hassle of a long journey.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel itself is more about rest than revelry, you’re just minutes from Bayswater’s pubs, cocktail bars, and lounges. Not far away, Soho and Camden offer legendary nightlife scenes for those who want to keep the party going after the final song.

What People Say

Guests love the hotel’s location and value for money. Reviews frequently highlight how easy it is to reach venues via the Underground, and how close it is to both Hyde Park and central London. The breakfast is often praised as a nice perk, especially for early risers or those needing a morning recharge.

Areas for Improvement

Rooms can be on the smaller side, especially for groups with lots of luggage. The hotel is a bit dated in decor, and Wi-Fi may not be the fastest. Still, most guests find it a solid base for a short stay centered around London’s vibrant music scene.

The Bottom Line

If you're looking for a well-located, affordable hotel near London's music and nightlife hubs, Queens Park Hotel hits the right notes for concert-goers.

Very poor

Liked: There was nothing to like about this hotel/apartment
Disliked: We were relocated to the apartment due to maintenance issues in the hotel we were told. We were allocated a superior room. This was a bog standard room. No air conditioning and room was in need of a clean

Poor

Disliked: So hot! Temperature outside had cooled but window was closed when we got in the room on 5th (top) floor. No AC. Fan was blowing warm air about. Could not sleep. Had to leave room early (8.15am and I am not a morning person) in order to get some cool air! Nice and cool outside. Probably 20C cooler outside than in room.Water went off whilst I was in the shower. Complained to reception staff who said there was nothing they could do but I could email in.Fridge in room that was extremely hot/dangerous on outside.

Liked: Location
Disliked: Misleading information on booking.comRe Air-conditioning being general services then No air con in certain rooms 35degrees and only 10cm gap in window for ventilation. Granddaughter suffers from asthma. Left the door open for ventilation. Not a livable space wouldn't put pet in that situation. Dangerous

Unorganised.

Liked: The location was perfect as we went to BST at Hyde Park. Beautiful building too.
Disliked: Check in was horrific! Arrived at 1, was told to come back at 3 for check in. Arrived back at 2.50 and there was a queue down the street so we stood for half an hour in the blazing sun to check in. A man in a suite, likely the manager arrived and ushered everyone inside so we weren’t queueing on the street. Eventually my husband and I got to the desk to stand for another 15mins to be told our room wasn’t ready. We complained and they managed to find a room for us. The room was absolutely tiny and cramped. Thankfully it was clean! And just to add they tried to charge us £520 instead of the booked £238! Not worth it at all, but the location was perfect. Very unorganised for a weekend where there were lots of events and concerts locally.

Rubbish experience

Disliked: We arrived at 1pm to be told to come back at 3pm for check in when we did, We had to wait outside in the blistering heat for over 20 minutes and then another 10 minutes once we finally got inside just to check in not enough staff with the amount of people who turned up as it was extremely busy with BST being held in Hyde park.Once we finally got to our room the key card did not work so my husband had to go back downstairs to reactive it.The room was absolutely tiny and ridiculously hot no air-conditioning!! Had to take the stairs as the maids were holding up the lifts we were on floor 3.Breakfast was mediocre.Definitely over priced.
