Dissatisfied customer

Liked: English breakfast was made to order
Disliked: Toilets by the dining room were so small you had to back in and close the door on your face.Bathroom in the bedroom were so narrow your elbows touched the wall as you sat. The shower was very hard to get comfortable and so small you had to stand by the toilet whilst waiting for the water to heat up.Only 1 key per room, which had to be left at reception before you could go out, made it feel as though you were being supervised, as did the need to ring to be let into the building.Very poor air circulation meant it became very hot and stuffy in the rooms. The need to have windows open meant all the noise from the street kept you awake all night.Definitely not a place to book if you are an xl or higher and definitely not if you have any problems with steps as the way down to the dining room was a long flight of very steep small steps.Very little choice of food if you don't want English breakfast.

Weekend break

Liked: Staff friendly. Beds were very comfortable. The hotel was basic but clean. Good breakfast. Kettle with tea and coffee in the room.
Disliked: No air conditioning, difficult to sleep at night when it was so hot over the weekend. Found ants in the bathroom, thankfully they didn't appear to be anywhere else in the room.

Hotel is okay but area...

Liked: I read a lot of bad reviews for Queens Hotel but I think the hotel is not that bad. It is not new but clean. Sure the carpet could do replacing but it does not smell bad, at least. I was quite worried for my stay because others made it seem like it is the worst but that's not true. It is okay. The breakfast is adequate too just for an energy boost in the morning. Nothing fancy.
Disliked: The room does not have a small fridge which is a standard for any hotel. The bed is sagging a bit and there is only one tiny pillow. There is no airconditoning so summer is gonna be like an oven. But the biggest issue is that the area/neighborhood feels unsafe. Too many junkies hanging around the station and on the streets. Sometimes there were random guys sitting on the bench outside the hotel. I felt unsafe because of that. I was scared to be out even though sunset is at 10 PM because of this. I feel like this is the biggest disadvantage of the hotel.

Poor

Liked: Staff were very friendly polite and done a great breakfast in the morning..
Disliked: Building looks ok on the outside but inside it needs a good lick of paint and some money spending on it. Rooms are tired and dated the sheets towels and pillowcases all clean but the carpet has seen better days. It was the hottest day in London this year and luckily I took my own fan with me. Also the residents from the hotel next door outside doing whatever till 4 am did not help with the stay but that is not the hotels fault.

Passable

Liked: Location, reasonable price and 24-hour reception are the strenghts of this hotel.
Disliked: Small, crawdy room for 3 people, terribly dirty carpet and hot, hot, hot temperature in the room (no air conditioning) eliminare this hotel for any summer stays.

Not adequate for long stay

Liked: Staff was polite
Disliked: The carpets were filthy dirty, the roller blind was not clean, it was uncomfortably hot in the room, and the window only opened out about 2 inches. The single bed was uncomfortable, only one pillow, only one bath towel and hand towel.Hole punched through bathroom door, and the room had a very damp musty dry smell, made my sleep very uncomfortable, so I had to spray the room with my aftershave. The breakfast was OK, a little disorganised, and no clear information as to how to order cooked breakfast. The room served it's purpose for one night, but I don't recommend it for a long stay. The location on a main road also means you won't get a goodnights sleep.
