Served a purpose

Liked: Clean, location, breakfast, staff
Disliked: Room was tiny, double bed against the wall and very small gap around it. Could only get shower to lukewarm and bathroom only suitable for people of a medium frame or less.

Queens Hotel short stay

Liked: The price, breakfast and helpful staff.
Disliked: The noise from the traffic was appalling as the warped double glazing window did not keep the noise out when shut, and I was woken before 06:00 each day because of the noise. The roller black out window blind did not keep the light out. The thin walls did not keep the noise from the rooms on either side of mine, and I could hear other guests talking very easily. With the shower turned on full, it took the hot water around 6 to 8 minutes to arrive.

Do not stay here!

Liked: There was nothing I liked. In particular, I didn't particularly appreciate that they requested your key upon leaving to explore the city and having to leave your personal belongings in the room. This is something that should be highlighted before booking this accommodation.
Disliked: The 'hotel' is a converted house with tiny rooms. The room was small, and the bathroom was even smaller. The floor is a dirty carpet that looks like it hasn't been cleaned since it opened. The beds were uncomfortable and not the cleanest looking. The bathroom was tiny, not suited to anyone of a larger build. No deposit was taken. We were required to leave our room key at reception when heading into the city. This is something that was not made clear before checking in. There was no safe to keep personal belongings. When we returned that night, we asked for our room key - no one asked for our name or anything, meaning anyone could have come off the street and said a room number and gone in. You can hear EVERYTHING through the walls. We could not sleep between kids crying in the room next door and being able to hear people doing the deed above us on numerous occurrences throughout our stay. Not something anyone wants to hear! Junkies were everywhere, and it was not a safe area, especially where the accommodation was located as it is right across from Finsbury Park. A group of people in balaclavas on our route home also made the trip unsettling. Overall, it is a disgusting place to stay, dirty and uncomfortable, and I would not recommend it to anyone.
