Was good get away

Liked: Breakfast was good, was hoping for a few more food options.
Disliked: Shower pressure wasnt good, an tub would fill during shower. Also when booking it didnt ask anything about being a member, or caa. I am a caa member an lost out on my savings.

Liked: Not many options for those with dietary constraints.
Disliked: Walls needed some repair. Wallpaper peeling and drywall mud inexpertly applied. Some of the guests were pretty rowdy on night 2.

Liked: Friendly front desk..informed us of where everything was..was close to where we needed to be
Disliked: Room kinda smelt musty apone arriving...not many TV stations could have been alittle cleaner just minor things I noticed

Liked: The front desk person was excellent. We went to the first hotel room and we smelled smoke in the room. We went to the front desk and explained the issue. The front desk person was very cooperative. He came down and said he would move us. We went to the second room and we could smell smoke( it wasn’t as bad as the first). I said we would not stay at this hotel. The customer service as I said earlier was excellent
Disliked: If you advertise the room to be smoke free. That’s what it should be.

Liked: The location was close to the rink where we had our kids hockey games.
Disliked: No elevator, hard to walk up with the bags to the second floor. I thought I had booked a room with 2 beds, got a king with a pull out couch, which was the most lumpy and springy mattress I have ever seen. Tried to make the best of it, but had to ask for extra bedding and pillows. That should have been ready in the room when they knew it was a room for 3. Added some extra sheets etc on the couch mattress to try and make it a bit more comfortable. The breaking point was the fact that cold air was coming out of the vent, clearly the heat was not working.The hot water would not get hot, just lukewarm. It also stated a smoke free room, but the lingering smell of cigarettes was present in the room as well as a cigarette hole in the curtain. We ended up checking out after the game and staying with the team at another nearby hotel at around 11pm, and when we voiced our concerns primarily about the heat, she said, "yeah, it's cold I know, sorry". Clearly they knew it was an issue and didn't think we would notice? Extremely disappointed and it was a waste of our time and money. It was a complete let down.
