The Grand is good value....

Liked: Very clean, quiet hotel. Comfortable bed, great shower.
Disliked: Room looked past its prime. DIY cab booking so you know it really is booked. (thank you for helping me out, urcab!)

Disliked: Extremely difficult to get to room, rabbit warren. Reception staff very unhelpful. Carpet filthy. Shower hot or cold with no in between. No phone in room.Bed uncomfortable. Cold room.

I liked the central location...

Liked: Central location of the hotel. My room was near the lift. Noise from the restaurants below ceased at a fairly early hour.
Disliked: Lack of communication that I would need to change rooms after my first night. On the next day I joined my tour and the accommodation for that was of a higher standard. However this had no lift access and required a lot of stairs with luggage. I elected to stay where I was. I needed to return to the hotel to sort this out and required a long walk back to the hotel.
