Hotel Description
With its landscaped grounds and Victorian features the Prince Of Wales Hotel is a 10-minute walk to Southport Train Station and to the beach. Wi-Fi is free in public areas. On Lord Street the hotel is a 5-minute drive from Hesketh Park and Southport Pier. Splashworld the popular water park is about a quarter mile from the Prince Of Wales. All bedrooms have a bathroom with a bathtub and a shower. Guests also have a TV suit press tea/coffee making facilities in each room while some rooms have a spa bathtub. The Colonial Restaurant serves traditional British dishes and the Clubhouse Bar has a golf theme. A full English breakfast is served every morning. The hotel has ramped access to its side entrance with lift access to all floors and some disabled access rooms available. Ramped access to the restaurant is possible with level access to the bar.

Hotel needs updating

Liked: Good location and nice pleasant staff
Disliked: One of our group had to change room as the standard of the room was very poor.

Disappointing

Liked: Both breakfast and location are good.
Disliked: Problem with door mechanism, happened continuously and I was in far end of hotel. The duty manager seemed to think problem was a one off but it occurred every day of my stay. I say the lock was faulty and needs checking.
