The Spotlight on President Hotel

Affordable Comfort in the Heart of London

Modern, welcoming, and right in the center of London, the President Hotel is a smart base for music lovers ready to explore the city’s vibrant live scene. Just a short walk from King’s Cross St Pancras Tube Station and close to iconic spots like the British Museum and Royal Opera House, this 3-star hotel offers unbeatable convenience with a relaxed, no-fuss vibe.
Rooms are equipped with flat-screen TVs, and amenities include a 24-hour front desk, an on-site restaurant and bar, and private parking (a rare find in central London). With free WiFi throughout, it’s great for planning your night out—or recovering from one.

Why Concert-goers love it

This hotel is all about location, location, location. Easy access to the Tube means you’re well connected to London’s major music venues, whether you're headed to an intimate gig or a stadium show. The central setting makes it simple to find late-night buses or rideshares after the encore, and the area stays lively but not overwhelmingly noisy. While check-out is at 11:00, the 24-hour front desk gives some flexibility for storing bags or asking for a late check-out on request.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a central crash pad between gigs and sightseeing
  • Solo travelers catching a once-in-a-lifetime tour
  • Couples enjoying a music-filled weekend in the capital
  • Fans needing a quiet spot to wind down after the show
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who want value without sacrificing location

Food and Drink Options

The hotel has its own restaurant and bar, making it easy to grab a bite before or after the show. While there’s not 24/7 room service, the central location means you’ll find late-night eateries and convenience stores nearby. Breakfast is available on-site—perfect for when you’ve hit snooze one too many times after a big night out.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel itself is more on the chill side, you’re never far from the action. Nearby areas like Soho and Camden offer live music bars, buzzing pubs, and underground clubs. If you prefer a quiet pint, the hotel bar is a relaxed spot to unwind with a drink before turning in.

What People Say

Guests love the central location and the ease of getting around London. Reviews often highlight the hotel’s clean rooms, helpful staff, and reliable WiFi. It’s considered a solid choice for anyone wanting a comfortable, affordable place to stay in the middle of the action.

Areas for Improvement

Some rooms are a bit on the small side, and the hotel’s decor is more functional than flashy. If you’re looking for boutique luxury, this isn’t it—but for a concert weekend, it covers all the basics.

The Bottom Line

The President Hotel is a smart, affordable choice for concert-goers who want a central base with easy access to London’s best live music venues.

Beware building construction ongoing June...

Liked: The central location to transport links and also easy walking to theatre district. The staff were particularly friendly.
Disliked: The hotel only has double beds so if you go as a couple and are used to a bigger bed it will be a challenge. There is also a new building complex under construction in the courtyard and if you are in a room facing the interior courtyard then work starts early and is very noisy - single glazed windows offer no help at all.

Liked: The beds are comfortable and it’s all clean. There is a great shower. The breakfast is excellent. It is very busy but well managed. The location is really good. Close to two metro stations and only 20 minutes’ walk to Covent Garden.

Small room, great location.

Liked: Good beds, duvet and pillows. Windows that opened. It was clean.
Disliked: You have to ask for vegan options for some things, which is a bit annoying. Plus the two times we tried asking for vegan sausages they said that they would bring it to our table but we never got them. The room was quite small and very little closet space - I had to keep a lot of my clothes in the suitcase and get it open each day to get to my clothes which is just a bit of a faf.

Liked: Breakfast is good and abundant with a reasonable price. The location is very convenient, 3 minutes walk to Picadilly line from where you can have easy access to anywhere in London.
Disliked: There seemed to be no AC in the room, sometimes the room can get stuffy.

Great hotel but need to...

Liked: The staff were all very friendly and attentive. Food/drink was lovely. The hotel was clean and plenty of toiletries etc. Great location.
Disliked: Clearer instructions needed for finding the car park as there are 2 side by side and if approaching from one direction you may end up in the wrong one. I had to ask to move room at midnight due to the awful noise from the lifts. The staff arranged for me to move, however I had to have a twin room rather than a double which wasn't great. Also wasn't overly keen on having the toilet separate from the bathroom.
