It was an okay stay

Liked: Great location and the staff are very helpful. Providing free coffee was also a nice gesture from their side. The room was generally clean.
Disliked: Rooms definitely need a renovation. The room that we were given first had AC problems. Then they assisted and helped us to switch to another room but the room was sort of looking like a prison cell. I am not sure if they are using the real photos of their rooms on this website. The room we had wasn't looking like what is being advertised on booking.com. I stayed in Pod Times Square a couple of years ago and this room wasn't like the Times Square branch at all. You basically just pay for the location.

Very good location, room much...

Liked: The location is very good. Staff is nice.
Disliked: The room is TINY - hence the hotel name, 'pod' - but I was not aware of this when booking. The room measured about 1.5x3 meters - about 5x9 feet(!), which means you haven't got room for anything. You can't even leave your luggage open in the room - only closed under the bed. No room for a yoga mattress on the floor even.

Liked: Room 1191. The room is depicted correctly in photos. It is small, but seems to make use of the reduced space. It's better for 1 person than 2. Loved the free coffee and tea in the morning and the rooftop deck.
Disliked: We were in #1119. If you have 2 people in the bed, one must either climb over the other or climb down to the bottom of the bed to get out of it and go to the bathroom at night. The pillows were awful and squished to very little. It took us a long time to get te 6 am person at the desk to come out and help us check out on Oct 13th.

It's my second time staying...

Liked: The room was small but very functional and had everything I needed during my stay. It's my second time staying at Pod39 because I like it so much. Staff was very friendly and switched me to a more quiet room. Both rooms that I had stayed this and last time were surprisingly quiet given the central location. You still hear a little bit of noise like ambulance but that's pretty much everywhere in Manhattan. Wifi was great, shower was hot. Has hairdryer. Also like the rooftop bar. A nice free perk the hotel added this year was free continental breakfast - it was a small selection of pastries, bagels, granola and fruit cups but I think that's a great perk.
Disliked: Only wish the price was cheaper
