Liked: Location convenient for onward journey to Scotland.Good breakfastRoom nice and quietParking available to front and rear, but not secure but no issue parking two motorbikes, which were well hidden by other vehiclesPub across the road did decent food. 10min walk to Halfords / B&Q if you need anything
Disliked: Hotel is tired but perfectly serviceableCheck-in initially asked for booking reference, and then just asked for surname and happily proceeded with that

Liked: An old building which the owners are attempting to restore so plenty of building character
Disliked: Outdated, needs a lot of TLC which the staff said was in progress but I didn’t see anything being done

Disliked: It was dirty, run down, small rooms. We were given a room in ‘the cottage’, which was appalling. The blind had broken so we were told we couldn’t touch it (and would have to sleep with it open). The bed had collapsed so wasn’t level. The shower was dirty and the door didn’t close. The owner offered us another room which was equally dirty and poor so we refused, and he refused to offer even a partial refund, and was then insulting towards my partner.We booked a nearby airbnb and left.
