Elegant and comfortable, great location,...

Liked: Staff were very helpful and friendly.Room was spacious and comfortable.Location was close to everything.Breakfast room and restaurant were classy and elegant.
Disliked: Apart from the rooms and small breakfast area there are no other facilities, no bar, a small unimpressive reception area.

Great location, but some downsides

Liked: The location was good being right on the Douro. However, that also makes it a busy and noisy location. The bathroom design is a disaster, using a non moveable glass screen, giving six inch access to the bath/shower. The shower head is fixed, so when on full power soaks the whole room. We were told that there was parking at the hotel. There is not. Long walk to the nearest parking…
