Classic Comfort Near London's Big Stages

The Pembridge Palace Hotel offers a traditional, budget-friendly stay in a central London location. Nestled just off a quiet garden square in Bayswater, this hotel is within walking distance of Hyde Park and Royal Albert Hall, making it a smart pick for concert-goers looking for convenience without the high price tag. With carpeted rooms, TV access, and a peaceful courtyard garden, it makes for a simple but comfortable home base in the city.
Check-in starts at 14:00, and check-out is at 11:00 — ideal for a quick weekend getaway.

Why Concert-goers love it

Location is everything here. You’re just a short stroll from major venues like Royal Albert Hall and the massive open-air events at Hyde Park. Two nearby Tube stations — Bayswater and Queensway — connect you quickly to the rest of the city for late-night gigs. While the hotel itself is fairly quiet, the surrounding area has enough buzz to keep things interesting. Free Wi-Fi in public areas is a plus for checking setlists or grabbing a late Uber.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends traveling for a gig weekend
- Solo travelers catching their favorite artist
- Couples planning a romantic concert night out
- Fans wanting a quiet crash pad after a loud show
- Budget-conscious music lovers who want value and location

Food and Drink Options

The hotel provides a daily continental breakfast — perfect after a long night out. While there’s no on-site bar or late-night menu, you're just minutes from a variety of walkable restaurants and cafés around Bayswater and Queensway. Late-night eats are easy to find nearby, and several spots stay open past midnight.

Nightlife Options

Although the hotel itself doesn’t offer live music or a bar, you’re in a prime location. A short walk or quick Tube ride puts you in the heart of London’s nightlife, with trendy cocktail bars, traditional pubs, and music lounges close by in Notting Hill, Soho, and Kensington.

What People Say

Guests love the central location, calling it a great value for exploring London and attending events. Reviewers often mention the easy access to public transport and proximity to Hyde Park gigs. The courtyard garden gets bonus points for being a relaxing spot to unwind after a night out.

Areas for Improvement

Some reviewers mention that the rooms can feel a bit dated and that Wi-Fi is only available in public areas. If you're expecting luxury, this isn't the spot — but for most concert-goers, it more than does the job.

The Bottom Line

For concert-goers looking for a budget-friendly, well-located London hotel with easy access to live music venues, the Pembridge Palace Hotel is a solid pick.

Great hotel in a lovely...

Liked: Great location near Bayswater tube station and a short walk to others if necessary. Clean and well presented, the terrace at the back was a lovely place to sit. Good value for money considering the location. The staff were great and the breakfast was really good, lovely setting, spotlessly clean, good selection. A very nice hotel.
Disliked: The lift was slow and felt like it needed a service. My room was on the top floor. The weather was unusually warm when I stayed there, and it was rather hot at night. I had to sleep with the window open and use earplugs. I do appreciate it is an old building, consideration for some air-con would be good.

Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

Disappointing

Liked: Room was clean.
Disliked: Paid £184 for a tiny basic double room in the basement (that's with Genius discount btw), when a superior double was then advertised at £182 ??? Staff on reception couldn't/wouldn't upgrade us when I explained the issue. Spent an hour on the phone to Booking trying to amend, they were useless too. Ended up paying another £20 just to get out of the basement room as it smelt of damp and my asthmatic boyfriend probably would've died in the night struggling to breathe. Absolutely abysmal what £204 gets you in London nowadays, and staff on reception had no empathy or understanding about trying to rectify. This was after our Eurostar got cancelled and we needed to find overnight accommodation asap, otherwise I wouldn't have even considered this place.

Liked: I love that the triple room has two stories which is a comfortable layout. The terrace is great, the neighborhood is great, and everyone who works there is quite nice and friendly. The room was clean and we really enjoyed the hotel.
Disliked: The space is small and the ceiling was short, but it was such a good value and we enjoyed our stay so much that this didn't matter.
