Classic Comfort Near London's Big Stages

The Pembridge Palace Hotel offers a traditional, budget-friendly stay in a central London location. Nestled just off a quiet garden square in Bayswater, this hotel is within walking distance of Hyde Park and Royal Albert Hall, making it a smart pick for concert-goers looking for convenience without the high price tag. With carpeted rooms, TV access, and a peaceful courtyard garden, it makes for a simple but comfortable home base in the city.
Check-in starts at 14:00, and check-out is at 11:00 — ideal for a quick weekend getaway.

Why Concert-goers love it

Location is everything here. You’re just a short stroll from major venues like Royal Albert Hall and the massive open-air events at Hyde Park. Two nearby Tube stations — Bayswater and Queensway — connect you quickly to the rest of the city for late-night gigs. While the hotel itself is fairly quiet, the surrounding area has enough buzz to keep things interesting. Free Wi-Fi in public areas is a plus for checking setlists or grabbing a late Uber.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends traveling for a gig weekend
- Solo travelers catching their favorite artist
- Couples planning a romantic concert night out
- Fans wanting a quiet crash pad after a loud show
- Budget-conscious music lovers who want value and location

Food and Drink Options

The hotel provides a daily continental breakfast — perfect after a long night out. While there’s no on-site bar or late-night menu, you're just minutes from a variety of walkable restaurants and cafés around Bayswater and Queensway. Late-night eats are easy to find nearby, and several spots stay open past midnight.

Nightlife Options

Although the hotel itself doesn’t offer live music or a bar, you’re in a prime location. A short walk or quick Tube ride puts you in the heart of London’s nightlife, with trendy cocktail bars, traditional pubs, and music lounges close by in Notting Hill, Soho, and Kensington.

What People Say

Guests love the central location, calling it a great value for exploring London and attending events. Reviewers often mention the easy access to public transport and proximity to Hyde Park gigs. The courtyard garden gets bonus points for being a relaxing spot to unwind after a night out.

Areas for Improvement

Some reviewers mention that the rooms can feel a bit dated and that Wi-Fi is only available in public areas. If you're expecting luxury, this isn't the spot — but for most concert-goers, it more than does the job.

The Bottom Line

For concert-goers looking for a budget-friendly, well-located London hotel with easy access to live music venues, the Pembridge Palace Hotel is a solid pick.

Friendly staff, simple hotel. Not...

Liked: The staff were very friendly, and the area / neighbourhood is very nice. The hotel is close to different bus stops and metro stations too, very useful! The bed and towels were clean. I liked the breakfast buffet too, it had plenty options. Bed was comfortable too. The room had a kettle to make tea, and a fridge with complementary bottles of spring water. I liked that.
Disliked: Unfortunately I did not enjoy my stay that much, I was a bit disappointed. The room was very small (3x3 meters?) and the bathroom was as well. My room was in the Basement, with bars on the window and a view of another basement wall. The smoke from smokers on the terrace above would waft into the room. The hotel was quite noisy too, I could hear conversations from several other guests and on a weekend evening I slept poorly because of the drunken laughter and screaming of a group of guests. The room was very warm too (to be fair, the weather had been very very warm!), there was no airconditioning, only a fan. Thanks to the fan it was still bearable. The bathroom could have been a little cleaner too, there was dust and dirt in the nooks and corners. It wasn't absolutely filthy, but could have been better.

Great neighborhood, but tucked away

Liked: It is as beautiful as it looks in photos. The staff was all super nice and the room (I booked a super small basement room) had everything I needed.
Disliked: Nothing

Great value for the budget...

Liked: Great value. We booked a family room for us and our two teenagers. We had the requisite number of beds and a degree of separation. The location was great. Friendly staff.
Disliked: We were there during the heat wave so not having A/C was tough. The family room is better suited for families with smaller children like big kids or tweens. We made it work for two nights. I don’t think we could have done 3. Nothing we didn’t know or suspect before arriving. Pictures and description are accurate.
