Disliked: Breakfast was poor, not enough Selection for cold buffet?Rooms are tired and desperately in need of redecorating. No wifi.

Disappointed for the cost of...

Liked: Staff were brilliant and very helpful. Really close to Glenridding only short walk in. Nice walks all around. Room heated up nice and warm.
Disliked: Cost of the evening meal was £30 there was no way it was worth £30. Breakfast food warm.Room had cob webs pretty much everywhere. The room was tired looking and needed updating desperately.The room I had faced the back of the hotel, all I could hear was staff at the back, coming and going from staff break area in a shack outside. Kitchen noise and smell and either fridge or fan system on at all times , which I know you have to, but it was outside the window and you want the window open for the so called lovely fresh air. Delivery arrived in the early morning, noisy. Mattress was too soft, you could not move once you landed in the bed. Bathroom mouldy and needed a new shower head, black mould, the grate from the fan was off and didn't work. So disappointed, the stay was not cheap. I know it is an old building, however it is sad looking and needs tlc desperately in the rooms. Get an air bnb for the price.

Overall an enjoyable stay.

Liked: Brilliant location! Good quality food and fast and efficient service, which is good for breakfast when guests are wanting to get out for the day, but it would have been nice to be able to linger between courses over dinner.
Disliked: The shower controls were not easy to control.
