Liked: I liked that everyone in the hotel was so friendly towards my dog and made a real effort at making us both feel welcome.

Liked: It’s a fine hotel on the surface. For a small place like Herne, it’s one of very few options in this standard category if not the only. The hotel neighbours nice park.
Disliked: All more disappointing how unclean the room was and how unappealing was the breakfast. The shock I had was immediate as I entered the bathroom and found other guest’s bits still there in the toilet bowl. It was disgusting and it informed my stay, unfortunately. Breakfast products looked sad and tasted flat. The staff was alright but wouldn’t do much when I complained. Overall, maybe I should have considered the other option of a lorry drivers’ b&b across the town.

Our first but certainly not...

Liked: Every single member of the team was lovely and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Unfortunately, there was only one luggage trolley, which had disappeared when we checked out. However, without us even asking, the receptionist and another staff member helped to bring luggage from 2nd floor to car. As we had done a lot of shopping, this involved several trips. The help was provided with a smile and no hint that this was an inconvenience to them at all. The whole experience was faultless.
Disliked: There could be more than one luggage trolley
