Liked: The hotel main grounds and restaurant were brilliant, cottage was clean and nice and the gym was excellent. Although electric car charging was available, there's opportunity to have more of them on site. Really liked the welcome drink and the restaurant food was excellent, your staff in the restaurant deserve recognition for their demeanour and rapport building skills.
Disliked: We were told we were upgraded to a cottage however, that did not meet our expectation as that was further from the main hotel and we had to walk through building site to get to the main hotel. The majority of cottages were being renovated so they were boarded up with poor condition. Our cottage's front door requires replacement as it was old, blinds didn't fit and when you open the door, the blinds hit the wall damaging the plaster. Rest of the cottage had been renovated, still felt like staff/student quarters. There were no electrical points beside the bed so no chargers can be used or have bedside lamps. The bathroom and shower were great however the shower screen was short so it was flooding the bathroom during the use.

Disappointed

Liked: Great facilities, spacious room, good gym
Disliked: Unfinished apartment, no hot water, not clean from building works, rude staff

Liked: Reception area was nice
Disliked: Room was miles away and spa separate to the hotel

I would rate my experience...

Disliked: I would rate my experience one of the worst stays I’ve had at a hotel, rooms were not cleaned properly I had dead insects on the floor in my room and human hair on the floor and shower. My two week old new born baby was also with my family during our stay and I think this is completely unprofessional from this hotel.

Liked: Loved the scenery around the hotel. The staff were super friendly and helpful.Plenty of facilities to keep us busy. Had one of the best nights sleep on the bed too…super comfy!
Disliked: We could hear absolutely every word the people in the next room said. We could also tell what they were watching on their tv just by the sound of it blasting through the walls. They didn’t have it on late though so that was ok. They did wake us up however. We stayed in a superior room but I didn’t think it was all that superior. The room looked like it had previously had some work done and it wasn’t finished fully. A new door frame for example but unfinished painting and exposed woodwork. It made the room look shoddy. The walls were rather dirty also and could have done with a lick of paint.Overall though we were happy with the room, just not really surprised.
