Disliked: We checked out before staying the night as the facilities were so bad. Dirty, offensive odour in the pool so we couldn't use it, also in the changing rooms. Another family commented the same that were there. Room dusty with marks over the walls, paint bubbled flaking on the carpet, plaster very poor condition. Dirty window dressing and dead insects around the room. Fighting event on when we arrived, not advertised, the whole place had hundreds of young people throughout the afternoon into the evening using one of their function suites, although front of house manager stated it wasn't affiliated with the hotel, the general manager wasn't available to talk to as he was at this event!! This event lead to a lesser than expected ambience around the hotel as they were drinking in the hotel and around the outside areas, in the surrounding streets, leaving their glasses on the road/ pavement which some got smashed. The noise level was very loud with music too. We had to walk through the large numbers of groups of them to access the spa, I say spa in the lightest sense. The access via the hotel was closed and no reason given why. I could go on but this about summarises, do not book!!
