The Spotlight on Park Avenue Baker Street

Stylish Comfort Steps from London's Music Scene

Modern, affordable, and well-located, Park Avenue Baker Street is a smart pick for concert-goers who want to stay close to the action without being caught in the hustle. Situated just outside the congestion charge zone and a quick stroll from both Marylebone and Baker Street stations, this hotel offers easy access to some of London’s most iconic music venues, shops, and attractions. Rooms are sleek and recently renovated, with free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs, making it a convenient base to recharge between shows.

Why Concert-goers love it

It’s hard to beat the location—just a few minutes’ walk from the tube and close to venues like the O2 Academy Islington, Roundhouse, and Royal Albert Hall. After a night out, it’s easy to get back thanks to great late-night transport links. The rooms are generally quiet and modern, ideal for recovering after a loud gig. With a 24-hour front desk, late-night returns are no problem, and check-in from 2:00 PM means you can drop your bags and head out.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a stylish yet budget-friendly crash pad
  • Solo travelers ticking off a must-see gig
  • Couples on a musical weekend getaway
  • Fans wanting a quieter place to recover after the encore
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who still want comfort and location

Food and Drink Options

While there’s no on-site restaurant, the 24-hour reception team can point you to great nearby pubs and cafes. You’re within walking distance of a variety of eateries—from late-night kebabs to cozy brunch spots. Breakfast is available in the area for those who need a slow start after a late night.

Nightlife Options

You're just minutes from some of London’s best bars and lounges, especially around Marylebone and Soho. Whether you're looking for pre-show cocktails or a post-concert pint, you’re well-placed. While there’s no on-site bar, the neighborhood more than makes up for it with its vibrant scene.

What People Say

Guests love the hotel’s clean, modern rooms and excellent location. Many highlight how close it is to major attractions and venues, with easy tube access. The staff get frequent shout-outs for being friendly and helpful, particularly when offering dining and travel tips.

Areas for Improvement

Rooms can be on the smaller side, especially if you’re carrying lots of gear or merch. There’s no lift, so if you have mobility concerns or heavy luggage, be sure to request a lower floor. A lack of an on-site restaurant might be a downside for some, but the area’s food options are plentiful.

The Bottom Line

If you're heading to a gig and want a clean, modern, and well-connected place to crash, Park Avenue Baker Street hits the right note.

Lovely Staff & Great Location,...

Liked: The location is fantastic, especially if you’re heading to Wembley for an event, and check-in was a genuinely lovely experience. The receptionist who greeted us was warm, helpful, and even carried our bags to the room, which was actually in a separate building across the road. His service stood out and really made us feel welcome. The room itself was clean, spacious, and the bed was incredibly comfortable.
Disliked: We were placed in a basement room, and that’s where things started to unravel. While the lack of natural light was expected, the bigger issue was that the windows didn’t open and there was no air conditioning or fan. With no ventilation, the room quickly became uncomfortably hot—especially in the middle of summer. To make things worse, the room’s window faced the front of the property, right by the entrance vestibule, where guests seemed to regularly smoke. As non-smokers, waking up to the strong smell of cigarette smoke wafting into the room was honestly quite unpleasant. It made us feel like we had to keep the windows shut (not that they opened anyway), which just turned the space into a hotbox. It ended up being a really sweaty, stuffy night filled with secondhand smoke—not what you expect when paying over £200 for a night. We mentioned this at checkout and were told an engineer was scheduled to look into the AC, but if a room is known to have no airflow or ventilation and is affected by smoke from outside, it shouldn’t be offered to guests. Or at the very least, a fan should be provided as a temporary solution. With a few changes—like improving air circulation and addressing the smoke issue—this could have been a much more enjoyable stay. The location is great, and the staff were lovely, so it’s a real shame that something so basic let down our overall experience.Just a thought: maybe in future, consider allocating these basement/front-facing rooms to smokers, as they’d likely appreciate the easy access to step outside. Non-smokers could then be placed in other rooms, where smoke isn’t an issue. It might make for a better experience for everyone.

The room is poorly designed...

Liked: The stuff were very welcoming and extremely helpful
Disliked: The room was located in the basement, with steep stairs that felt unsafe—especially for families with young children. I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone with a toddler. The space itself was very small; there wasn’t enough room to place the baby cot next to the main bed. Instead, the cot had to be positioned near the bathroom door, which was partially made of glass. The bright light from the bathroom was quite disruptive to a sleeping child. Additionally, when the bathroom door is open, it blocks the entrance to the room.

Pleasant

Liked: Good location and staff were very helpful. The room was very clean and stylishly decorated - slightly on the small side (the pictures are very artfully taken).
Disliked: It didn't feel like great value for money - I think there are other hotels in the area which give you more space - and better communal areas in the hotel - for the money. The breakfast is quite basic - the cooked food was often quite stale/congealed.
