Best hotel in Chester

Great stay

Liked: Honestly couldn't fault it. Quirky little place, great price and discount on parking. We had an amazing bath too haha! Always a bonus.

Liked: The hotel was incredibly well placed being within a very short walk of the city centre, river and walls but yet was very quiet (may be different in season as our room overlooked the garden). It was a bit of an initial shock that the loo could be seen from the bed but in fact don't worry, it is all part of a clever design where the ensuite shower door acts as the main door - as I said, very clever. Continental breakfast only but don't judge - the variety of cerials, nuts,, fruits, meats, cheeses, salmon, bread, pancakes and crumpets was astounding. Parking is just round the corner in an APCOA park but at a well reduced rate. All in all exceptional value for money.
Disliked: Staff were a little sparce occasionally but we were well out of season so was happy to track them down and have to say they were very helpful, cheerful and with a good sense of humour. We had half board but the menu was a little limited, maybe do a couple of days alternating menu would be worthwhile but, although the choice was limited, the food was good.

Liked: Excellent stay, beautiful hotel and perfect location. Did expect a hot option for breakfast, although continental was nice.

A bit quirky but comfortable...

Liked: Comfortable modern bedroom. Friendly staff.
Disliked: Bar was a bit disappointing and the happy hour drink choice was peculiar.

Liked: It's a great place, really quirky. Room was free upgrade on bookings. Furnishings were high quality. Food was good, had lovely Sunday roast 2 course dinner.
Disliked: Nothing not to like.
