Quirky and odd is ok...

Liked: I liked the location as we could have two apartments for our family next to each other. It’s just off one if the main streets in Chester. It was decently sized and the towels were perfect to me. (Thirsty cotton with a hint of scratch to soak up the water).
Disliked: So there was no mention of stairs for the two bedroom apartment which would have been good to know. I have feet and knee issues but I made it work. In our apartment (#2) there was very recent and evident water damage when entering the apartment. It was coming down the walls and was on the ceiling. The bathroom in my room was very moldy. Tons of mold in the shower walls, the parts of the shower, the sink drain was ringed in it and the lever on the faucet had mold coming out from underneath it. The blinds and lights in the apartment were caked in dust and my bed was a queen that could split to two twins but it was in casters on wood floors and rolled around everywhere when I tried to sit or stand up. The sofa was a loveseat with cushions so punched down that you felt the bottom of it immediately. The kitchen was ok but felt unclean so we didn’t eat there except to reheat a couple of leftovers. The heat wasn’t on on our arrival and after two days they finally fixed it. (The manager Sam I think came himself. He also mentioned they’d had plumbing problems but the plasterers hadn’t been in yet. My husband and I showered at the same time in separate bathrooms and something was off with the plumbing still as it was dripping all down the walls at the bottom of the stairs afterwards. The floor had water everywhere. Very unprofessional to rent it in this condition.). The other apartment for our older teens was fine except the washing machine had been left with water and a moldy rag in it, unplugged. We could only use the washer in our apartment for all five of us. The other three bathrooms in that apartment were moldy as well. I’d add more pictures but I have to run.

Great location and Value

Liked: Great location in the middle of Chester centre. Room exceptionally clean. Staff friendly. Great value for money. Didn't eat here so cannot comment on this.
Disliked: No parking at the hotel, you have to park in a multistorey around the corner. But given a £10 discount ticket to reduce car park payment, we stayed one night and it cost us £9.50. Also the bathroom and shower have a glass wall so you can see in from the bedroom so no privacy here, not really for us but it may not be an issue for some.
