Disliked: The hotel gave my room away before I checked in. They gave me a room next door in a hotel they also own but it was not the same quality booked. I was asked to come back to the check in desk to speak with the manager the next morning and they refunded my room. They gave me a receipt and everything only to turn around and recharge me the following day. I was traveling for work and cannot rectify my P-Card with a receipt showing that my stay was refunded when the charge is still on my account. I have called the hotel numerous times and keep being told that I have to talk to a certain manager and that I would receive a call back. This has been going on for a month now and it's still not resolved.

Liked: Location! And the cafe inside run by the great family.
Disliked: All was good.

Adequate Hotel

Liked: We had 2 rooms here, and both were adequate. They were expensive for what they were, but everything around Joshua Tree is expensive. There was little staffing - a few kids who seemed to be doing everything which lead the front desk to often have a "be right back" sign. There was a "new" restaurant opening on the property the week we were there, but didn't get to try it. No breakfast at this hotel, but there is a coffee shop in the parking lot. We opted for McD one day and the "jelly donut" place (not worth it) from yelp. Further onfusing in that this hotel seems to actually be 2 hotels - the coffee shop might be associated with the other one. Excellent location for seeing Joshua Tree NP which is why we came.
Disliked: Rooms need updating, staffing needs increased so the front desk is staffed, and some clarification on what is or is not included with this hotel vs the buiding in the back.

Pleasant

Liked: Bought to muffins, they were the worst. Very dry.
Disliked: The curtains wouldn't close all the way.

THE BEST OPTION OF TWENTY...

Liked: Clean, convenient, spacious, comfortable. Friendly staff. Definitely the best option for Coachella this year, even after driving back and forth during three days.
