Beautiful location but very hot...

Disliked: Very hot. Did not get lake view room as booked. Staff service slow and evening staff dressed unprofessionally.

Liked: The surroundings and setting were stunning, and not all, but some members of staff were an excellent example of customer service, especially the young man in the bar area.It was a large spacious room with all home comforts. The bed was very noisy. Breakfast was acceptable but not to a high standard. Did catered for gluten free which was good.
Disliked: Noise, constant noise! This hasto be the noisiest hotel we've stayed in, every footstep, banging, creaking floors, tapping noises - such a shock as the surroundings led us to believe it was peaceful. Some staff members were rather prickly.

Liked: Location was excellent. Beautiful gardens and very friendly staff. Dinner in the Captains bar was excellent. Room was very comfortable.
Disliked: Breakfast was disappointing. No choice of cooked - it was full English only. Quality of produce didn’t match up with the quality of the hotel.
