Novotel Birmingham Centre

Great stay; lovely breakfast; will definitely book Novotel next time we’re in Birmingham.

Liked: Great location, the hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable.
Disliked: In reception, I found the air freshener very overpowering.

Liked: Ideal central location, being walking distance to Brindley Place, New Street Station, Bullring and walking out onto Broad Street
Disliked: Room 603. The carpet was filthy with stain marks. The toilet is separate from the bath which is great however you can't help but feel is it clean. It reminded me of going to an outdoors outhouse loo. It was a bix room with just a toilet. The walls were textured like artex in a dated cream stain colour. The sockets are away from any mirrors so using straightners was not ideal. The rooms are not sound proof so you can hear your neighbours and to top it off woke up on my last day to maintenance work right outside my room. Workmen drilling, hammering, vacuuming. Also, regardless of what sign you hang on your door, the cleansers knock and walk in. Felt on edge that someone might walk in when taking a shower as there was no lock on the shower room door. First and last. Wont be using this hotel again especially for the price paid.

Liked: The staff were pleasant and helpful especially a gentleman called Mohammed.
Disliked: The air conditioning didn’t work and the Ev charger is out of service even though still advertised.

Liked: It was ideally located, there was ample parking, and the buffet breakfast was delicious.
Disliked: The separate toilet, was a bit cramped and dark.
