A beautiful pleasant stay.

A nice surprise to be able to stay at such a special place. Sad to see the restaurant was closing.

Liked: Our cottage was spacious and comfortable. The tour of the mansion was great, the tour guide knew all there was to know about the property, he was great.Every housekeeping employee we came across was so pleasant, greeted us anytime we saw them and were so nice.
Disliked: We were disappointed when we arrived learning that the restaurant wouldn't be open for dinner. The front desk said they had all staff work for lunch so they didn't have employees to work the night shift. We weren't the only guests disappointed by this.We know it was Thanksgiving day but if you advertise the property as a 'resort', no matter the holiday the amenities should be available, especially the only restaurant on property.We went for breakfast the next morning. The food was mediocre at best. The food was barely warm and the coffee was room temperature. Staff was not attentive. We were only the second table in there and we had to find the waitress when we needed something.
