Liked: Lovely hotel, great staff. Comfy room.
Disliked: I had been looking forward to the pool, but lone swimming is not allowed and nobody else booked a slot or showed up, so I ended up not going in the pool.

Great hotel, food menu basic.

Liked: Good quality, comfortable furnished bedroom, and public areas. The swimming pool and jacuzzi were lovely and warm. The hotel is a short walk to the town centre and buses and beach. Underground parking for a fee.
Disliked: The food. The hotel has been taken over by Leisureplex, who is a coach holiday company. There is nothing wrong with that, everyone was lovely but we were independent travellers, and we stayed here before it was taken over, and the food was lovely and good quality. Now, it is a set menu of boring, unimaginative dishes for the coach parties (fish and chips, pie and chips, salad), but independent travellers have no choice but to eat it too. It's such a shame as this was a great hotel, but the food menu lets it down. Although our bedroom was comfortable and of a good size, we were on th ground floor with a very tall brick wall 4 feet from our window which made the room very dark and needed the lighting on day and night. It was very depressing. The refrigerator had been removed from the room because of Leisureplex's price cuts, so we were unable to have cold drinks in this heatwave of 27°- 30° temperatures, but there was a fan available.
