Beware of American hotels tipping...

Liked: Cleanliness, quiet and friendly staff
Disliked: At the end of our stay, we were presented with an account for breakfast which on check in, were told was included. In addition, there were multiple charges described as ‘discretionary’ added to the account without our approvalwhen we had already tipped in cash for these services. We reluctantly paid £25 each for breakfast which totalled £100, but refused to pay over £100 for the discretionary charges.
