Safe choice in excellent location...

Liked: Excellent location - close to Hyde Park, Regent Park, walking distance to the tube but in a quiet area. Modern design - this is not very common among hotels in London! Every item in the room and in the hotel is made of materials of high quality. Great breakfast.Room Service + MiniBar
Disliked: Noise.First night, after midnight, we were waked up by the noise. It was not a noise from the outside of the hotel and was not made by other guests. It sounded like some cleaning or maintenance work were performed on upper flor or some problem with the ventilation system and air was banging on some elements.Service charge At the check-in, you are informed that your bill will be increased of 5% because of “service charge”. When you will be checking-out, you can resign paying service charge. For me, it is like sending a message to the guest: “No matter have much you have already paid us, we want more and more of your money”. Well, it is far away from hospitality, and it makes awkward atmosphere from the beginning. Nobu London Portman Square, in my opinion, is good value for the money comparing to other hotels in London. I would not mind if the initial price would be increased, but without this embarrassing experience called “service charged”.

Exceptional

Incredibly small rooms, busy hotel,...

Liked: The hotel is in an excellent location just a few minute walk to Oxford Street and all the shops. SoHo is about a 15 minute walk away. The rooms were incredibly clean and access to the Nobu restaurant was nice.
Disliked: This is a very high capacity hotel which means it's almost always fully booked so it's quite busy. The rooms are very clean and modern, but they are tiny and I mean tiny. You have about 24 inches from the end of the bed to the wall, so you can barely turn around. There's no where to put your suitcases in the room because they are so small and two people cannot be in the bathroom at the same time given how small the bathroom is.
