Wanted to love this place.

Liked: Great location . Spacious rooms. Nice staff despite understaffing in season.
Disliked: Historic cottages rooms were damp, dark and a bit sad. Pools are tiny and uninviting. When staff transferred our luggage from one room to another a small shopping bag with a hat and a beaded pin went missing. Management was unable to locate. Sloop service at breakfast. Up to 45 minutes for some food items.

Favorite place in NY

Liked: A truly gorgeous hotel, full of character and beautiful details. The bed is very comfortable, and I especially loved the music in the room - such a thoughtful touch, with the perfect playlist. Breakfast was delicious, and the breakfast hall was everything. I’m still thinking about that big painting on the wall! Definitely coming back!
Disliked: I arrived an hour after the check in time, but my room still wasn’t ready. Unfortunately, I had to wait for almost another hour. As an apology, the staff offered me complimentary room service with anything on the menu. I had dinner, and it was delicious. Thanks again!

Liked: The breakfast was amazing! Room was wonderful and the staff couldn’t have been better. They also have a coffee and tea bar in the morning. This is our second stay here and it is now our first choice New York hotel!
Disliked: Nothing!

Very good experience overall

Liked: - Excellent restaurant and breakfast.- Comfortable rooms. - No noise, despite the loud street outside at night.- Great hotel design.
Disliked: - There was a lack of storage space. - During cleaning, they stored my belongings in places I couldn't find afterward and seemed to have accidentally thrown out one of the dust bags for my shoes. - There was no tea or coffee machine in the room.

Liked: The hotel service is really excellent, clean and the room was big. The top floor private terrace is gorgeous and should be available for everybody.
Disliked: Lobby too small, and the price compared to the common areas available too high.
